LAWS Learning Opportunities 2014 - 2015

Starting up again in fall 2014, the Lanark Animal Welfare Society (LAWS) is offering its Humane Education Program to all schools and community programs in Lanark County and the surrounding area. It is is geared to students from JK to Grade 8, and to some extent high school grades.

Speaking Volumes

The Valley is rich in literary resources, including fantastic community libraries. Area librarians are contributing articles for our new Speaking Volumes column — and suggesting reading lists that we feature online.

In September 2014 our featured librarian is from Arnprior. Karen DeLuca describes a journey of arts and culture at local libraries, and shares her favourite reading picks (for all ages).
