There are still three exceptional shows left in the 2025/26 Almonte in Concert season. Their most recent concert, A Piano for Christmas, sold out, so grab your calendars now and your tickets soon!

First up, on Sunday, January 25 at 2pm, is All the Mornings with Elinor. Alone on stage, surrounded by her string instruments, JUNO Award-winning cellist Elinor Frey invites you to discover each one’s distinct personality, tones and colours while she tells their story. A reference to the film Tous les matins du monde, All the Mornings with Elinor is a recital both intimate and rich in discovery, highlighting the most beautiful pages by Bach, Dall’Abaco, Telemann and Tartini, as well as the piece Les Pleurs (Sainte-Colombe) excerpted from the film.

On Saturday, March 7 at 7:30pm, you won’t want to miss Bridge & Wolak’s Scandalous Romantics — a hilarious tabloid take on stories behind the most celebrated music stars across genres and their spectacular lapses in judgement! Co-written with CBC’s Tom Allen, Michael Bridge (digital accordion and piano) and Kornel Wolak (clarinet and piano) expose the lust, pride, and envy that fuelled some of the greatest music every written. Bridge & Wolak dazzle with virtuosity, down-to-earth humour, and their original arrangements in an explosive program steeped in contemporary culture.

Finally, Saturday, April 11 brings the Vnukowski/Odin Quartet to town for In Schumann’s Footsteps: Dances, Dreams and Remembrances. The program includes Robert Schumann’s monumental Piano Quintet in E-flat major Op. 44 and award-winning Canadian composer Simon Bertrand’s Imprecise Memories, among other works.
