Arts Carleton Place invites applications for booth space at its signature juried fine art show, taking place on May 2 and 3 at the Carleton Place Arena. They are looking for 45–55 talented artists, and their application deadline is midnight on January 31. This year’s show will showcase primarily wall art (oil, acrylic, aquarelle, charcoal, fibre, mixed media, watercolour, pencil art, photography, etc.). Other forms will also be considered, including pottery, glass art, jewellery, sculptures, metal and woodwork.
The judges’ decision is final, and a waiting list may be compiled. The criteria may include visual appeal, originality, creativity, use of medium, degree of difficulty, due diligence, composition, use of colour, attention to detail, ability to provoke thought, and quality of presentation. This year’s show will once again feature fantastic door prizes, free parking and free admission for visitors.
Be sure to send quality images of the art you intend to exhibit at the show. If you plan to exhibit more than wall art, you must include images of the other art forms you plan to present. All work presented at the Exhibition must be the artist’s own original creation, and participants must be members of Arts Carleton Place. More information about the show and the application process can be found at the Arts Carleton Place website artscarletonplace.com/2026-acpfineartsale.
