Support young women in pursuing higher education and building their futures by attending the 3rd annual CFUW Home and Garden Tour. Every ticket sold helps fund the club’s Education Awards program for young women in the Perth area, empowering them to study in the career of their choosing.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, July 11 from 9am to 4pm, and immerse yourself in a day of beauty, art and music. Explore four stunning homes and eight exquisitely designed gardens, some nestled in the picturesque Lanark County countryside.

As you wander through the gardens, enjoy live performances by 13 local musicians, including harpists, guitarists, pianists, a jazz quartet, and a string trio. Don’t miss the chance to admire the work of 10 talented artists — painters, potters and photographers — whose creations will be on display. And be sure to stop at the Royal Canadian Legion to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win one of 15 themed baskets with total prizes worth $6,000! A pre-ordered high tea-style lunch is also an option, which you can enjoy while sitting on the banks of the Tay River.

New this year, experience a unique literary-themed tour featuring gardens inspired by beloved stories and characters. Dress as your favourite literary character for a chance to win the best-dressed prize. From classic novels to childhood favourites, Organizers look forward to seeing creativity come to life throughout the day.

Since 1999, CFUW Perth & District has awarded more than $270,000 to 224 women to pursue a post-secondary education. A large part of the success of the fundraising efforts comes from their generous sponsors, who believe in education and support the club’s local advocacy and educational activities in libraries, community agencies, and elementary schools.

“We’re proud to sponsor the Home & Garden Tour in support of Canadian Federation of University Women,” explains Heather Flatters of Carleton Place Nursery, the tour’s 2026 Platinum Sponsor. “As a local garden centre, we love seeing people come together to share a passion for gardening, creativity and community. It’s a great event for a great cause, and we’re happy to be part of it.”

Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a day of beauty, inspiration and community while making a difference. Tickets are $35, available online at Tickets Please (TicketsPlease.ca, 485–6434) or at select local stores.
