Come out to the Snow Road Community Hall for Culture Days, taking place on October 3 and 4 from 10am to 4pm each day. Meet artisans and watch them as they work on their creations from painting to jewellery making. See their displays of amazing work, learn about cultural awareness, visit an Indigenous display, and find your hidden artistic talents through hands-on participation.
This year you can also learn how steel, wood and rocks are transformed into beautiful knives. Create a colourful spin art piece and paint a make-and-take project, or try your hand at wet felting. New this year is Foraging Favourites where you can learn about some common, easily identifiable local plants, how to harvest, process, store and eat them! Also new this year will be a display of Mines and Minerals in North Frontenac. Find out how mines helped in the development of local communities and what minerals were mined. Artisans will be displaying their unique art and handiwork for viewing and purchase.
While you enjoy your visit, lunch at the petite café and enjoy homemade desserts available for purchase. All ages are welcome.
Come visit this vibrant community where the scenes are everchanging — from forest, river and lakes to farmland!
