Home Hospice North Lanark (HHNL) is inviting the community to lace up their walking shoes this October for Hike for Hospice 2026, a month-long fundraising event supporting compassionate hospice care for local individuals and families facing life-limiting illness.

HHNL provides free hospice support, caregiver assistance, companionship, and grief and bereavement services to residents of Almonte, Carleton Place, Appleton, Clayton, Beckwith, Blakeney, Pakenham and surrounding communities. As a donor-funded organization, community support is essential to keeping these services available.

“Hike for Hospice is more than a fundraiser — it’s a chance for our community to come together and support local families during some of life’s most difficult moments,” explains Home Hospice North Lanark. “Every step and every donation helps provide comfort, dignity, and compassionate care close to home.”

Participants can walk throughout October at their own pace by registering as an individual or team, while businesses and organizations are encouraged to become sponsors or organize a workplace or community hike.
