Experience the Magic at The Station Theatre!
The Smiths Falls Community Theatre truly believes in miracles, so they’re bringing this timeless holiday classic to the stage beginning on Friday, December 5 for two joyous weekends!
Susan Walker (played by Emery McLean) doesn’t believe in Santa Claus. Her mother Doris Walker (Laura Robinson) works at Macy’s and hires someone to play Santa Claus every year. This year is no different, except the person hired to play Santa has big problems. Fortunately, a man named Kris Kringle (Michel Doyon) comes along and agrees to help out. The Macy’s employees are concerned, because the gentleman believes he is the actual Santa Claus, and they certainly don’t believe it themselves.
Little by little, after some miracles begin to occur, they start to wonder if it’s possible. Well, except for one employee — Macy’s guidance counsellor Alice Sawyer (Danielle Brkovich). She convinces Doris, along with her assistant Ms. Shellhamer (Ashley MacFarlane), that Kris is delusional and potentially violent. Alice arranges for Kris to be put in an institution despite assurances from Kris’s doctor Dr. Pierce (Emily Ramsdale). However, Fred Gayley (Chad Wolfe), a lawyer and Doris’ neighbour, decides to fight for Kris and prevent him from being permanently committed. It all comes down to the Judge (Linda Pipher) to determine if Kris is in fact the real Santa Claus.
Join the cast of over 40, including 17 young people, for a heartwarming performance that captures the spirit and magic of the season, perfect for families and friends looking to create cherished memories together.
