Located at 210 Bridge Street, the Carleton Place Gallery has quickly become a vibrant centre for the arts since its opening on August 23, 2023. Under the passionate leadership of Ginny Fobert, who took sole ownership in January 2025, the gallery has been reimagined with bold direction, revitalized visuals and new programming, and has a growing reputation for having become a thriving centre for artistic expression.
A Year of Transformation
2025 has been a year of many firsts for the gallery, beginning with a dedicated space for solo guest exhibitions. In August, it launched the first-ever outdoor art show, Riverfront Artscape, which drew thousands to the north side of the bridge and marked a new chapter for the town’s cultural scene. Ending a transformative year with a festive twist, the Carleton Place Gallery is proud to announce another brand-new event, Three-Fifty Squares. Celebrate the holiday season with this curated celebration featuring original 12×12 artworks and sculptures by talented Ottawa-area artists. Each piece is priced at $350 (plus HST), offering collectors and gift-givers a unique opportunity to purchase high-quality, local fine art at an accessible price. A portion of each sale will be donated to the Carleton Place Youth Centre, with additional donations being accepted at the gallery.
From bold contemporary pieces to charming seasonal works, this exciting collection of approximately 150 pieces brings together creativity and community, all within a shared scale of 12×12 inches.
“Art doesn’t have to be intimidating or out of reach,” explains Ginny. “This show celebrates creativity, connection, and community while making original art affordable and approachable.”
The gallery’s tag line is “Elevating the Everyday Through Art”. With Ginny Fobert at the helm, you can always expect something new, bold, and exhilarating at the Carleton Place Gallery. Whether it’s showcasing emerging artists, hosting dynamic workshops, music concerts, or planning community-centered art events, 2026 promises even more to look forward to.
Stay tuned. Stay inspired. Stay creative.
