Herb and Audrey Homer have had an almost perfect relationship for over fifty years. They invite their three estranged, and vastly different adult daughters, Rain, Ivy, and Daisy, to celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary as a family.  

What should be a standard celebration of their parents love for each other is thrown into emotional chaos when Herb announces that he is dying from an aggressive brain tumour, and is opting to refuse treatment. His wish to have one perfect weekend with his family sends everyone into a maelstrom of family secrets and old conflicts.  

As the daughters grapple with one another and wrestle their own demons, their father’s condition worsens, and Audrey realizes that she’s not ready to say goodbye to her true love. 

This lovely Canadian drama film, the directorial debut of Avi Federgreen, is the second of three movies in our Fall 2026 series. Ten years in the making, it was filmed in Paris, Ontario.
