Susanna Donato is a dedicated visual artist and educator whose career is defined by a passion for sharing the transformative power of creativity. For decades, Susanna served as a Visual Arts Educator and Arts Instructional Coach for the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB), mentoring countless students and fellow educators. While she recently celebrated her official retirement, her journey as a lifelong creator and mentor is far from over.Throughout her career, Susanna’s mission has been helping others discover their own unique artistic voices. Today, she channels her extensive experience into a continuous cycle of learning, constantly rediscovering both new and old techniques. About ten years ago, Susanna discovered the rich, tactile world of felting and mixed media. Captivated by the textures, versatility, and expressive potential of fiber, she has spent the last decade refining her skills and experimenting with innovative combinations. Susanna is eager to connect with the community and share her deep love for textile arts, inviting others to explore the endless possibilities of fiber and form.
