Join them for a magical Christmas show that will fill your heart with joy and leave you with cherished memories of the most wonderful time of the year.
Established in 2012, The Barrel Boys are a bluegrass powerhouse with soaring harmonies, blazing picking, and an infectious stage presence. Their music blends tradition and originality into a soulful roots experience that has earned the Boys a special place in the hearts of Canadian music fans from coast to coast. In June 2025 they released Chicken in the Window, their fourth full-length album of original music. Their previous release, Mainline, earned them a nomination for Vocal Group of the Year at the 2021 Canadian Folk Music Awards.
Sasha Berndt of Hugh’s Room Live describes their music as: “… a blend of soul-soaked country and raw, indie bluegrass — nostalgic without being corny, emotional without feeling overdone. There’s grit in it, and comfort too. Like a familiar smell you haven’t noticed in years.”
The band is made up of Rob McLaren on banjo, Ben Wright on guitar, Tim O’Reilly on bass, and Smiths Falls resident Nathan Smith on fiddle. The concert takes place on Saturday, December 6 at 7:30pm at Trinity United Church, located at 41 Market St. N in Smiths Falls.
Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, and $10 for children under 13. Advance tickets can be purchased at thebarrelboys.com/shows or through Trinity United Church at 283–4444.
