The West Carleton Arts Society (WCAS) is delighted to announce that its holiday sale “Artistic Creations” will return this fall! This exhibition and sale will showcase the creative talents of 21 artists from the Ottawa region. There will be photography, paintings, hand bound books, wood burning, ornaments, wood carvings and more, all priced at $200 and under.
This annual show is again being held at the Carp Mess Hall, located at 2240 Craig Side Road, just past the Diefenbunker, 1.6km north-west of the Carp Fairgrounds. It takes place on Friday, November 28 from 3–8pm, and Saturday the 29th from 9am to 4pm. The venue is fully accessible (no stairs).
WCAS supports local young artists with a bursary to the West Carleton High School Arts Program. Each year this money goes to a student, chosen by the art teacher, who has done outstanding work in the program. Students from West Carleton also volunteer their time to help out at the show.
We welcome everyone to come and spend time chatting with our artists, to enjoy their wonderful artworks, and perhaps to pick up some gifts for the holiday season. Admission and parking are free.
