Mark your calendar for a day designed to celebrate and support the 55 + community. On Thursday, June 4 from 10am to 3pm, Home Hospice North Lanark in partnership with the Town of Carleton Place present the 55 + Expo at the Carleton Place Arena.
This free event is your opportunity to explore local services, discover practical resources, and connect with the people and places you love. Whether you’re looking to stay active, explore new programs, or access support that helps you live well in your own home, the Expo has something for you.
You’ll find information and inspiration in three key areas: Your Health — wellness, nutrition, fitness, and care; Your Home — safety, comfort, and support for aging in place; and Your Community — services, social connection, and engagement.
Throughout the day, there will be a series of short, informative presentations on topics that matter to the 55 + community — everything from fraud prevention and personal safety to emergency preparedness and even a few tech tips. It’s a great opportunity to hear from local experts and take away helpful, practical information. No need to register — just drop in and enjoy!
Arrive early for a little something special! Organizers will be giving away complimentary tote bags to visitors while supplies last, which are perfect for collecting materials as you explore the Expo. Quantities are limited, so be sure to come early and pick one up!
The 55 + Expo is open to everyone, with a special focus on adults aged 55 and over, as well as their caregivers and family members. It’s a great event for anyone interested in learning more about resources, services, and opportunities for healthy aging. Also welcome are adult children who are supporting aging parents, as the Expo offers a wealth of information for those caring for loved ones.
The Expo is also fully accessible. The venue itself is wheelchair-friendly, and there will be designated seating and facilities. The Carleton Place Arena is located at 75 Neelin Street. There is ample free parking on-site, but carpooling is encouraged.
Come on out to the 55 + Expo to explore, connect, and celebrate all that our community has to offer. Home Hospice North Lanark is grateful for the Municipality’s ongoing support and shared commitment to strengthening community connection and healthy aging.
