Celebrating its 20th year, the Sundance Artisan Show is an outdoor art show featuring a diverse group of artists in a beautiful plein air setting in Maberly. Peppered across two acres of forest, field and riverfront, you’ll find work of artisans specializing in various art forms: painting, woodwork, metal, stained glass, fibre-art, leather, jewellery, clothing, blown glass, beadwork, and many more. The artists have been working hard over the year, and are again ready to present to you their wonderful creations. The setting is ideal for relaxing while shopping for the perfect gift for that special someone. Feel free to grab a chair and enjoy sitting by the beautiful Fall River adorned with old mill ruins.
This year’s event will be catered by local chef Tim Cota from Tichborne. His red-seal certification praises his culinary prowess, so visitors can expect tasty, homemade treats. For those with a sweet tooth, try Anne Godlewska’s “godly” designed chocolates.
As always, parking and entrance are free (although donations are most welcome). The event takes place over all three days of the Labour Day long weekend (September 5, 6 and 7) at 126 Maberly Elphin Rd, Maberly (at the intersection of Hwy 7 and County Rd 36). Hours are 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday, and 10am-2pm on Monday. Further details can be found at sundancestudio.ca.
