The Crown & Pumpkin Studio Tour returns to Mississippi Mills on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11 from 10am to 4pm each day. Now marking its 30th year, the free, self-guided Thanksgiving weekend tradition brings together artists, makers, food producers and visitors for a two-day celebration of local creativity and autumn charm.

A Seasonal Tradition Rooted in Place

Held every Thanksgiving weekend in Mississippi Mills, the tour has become a signature fall outing for people who want to meet makers where they work. The 2026 edition will guide visitors through studios and creative spaces in Almonte, Clayton, Pakenham and the surrounding countryside, offering a relaxed route through some of Mississippi Mills’ most scenic communities.

What Visitors Can Expect

This year’s tour features sixteen stops and more than 50 creators, including six new artists, working in fine art, craft, food and drink. Visitors can browse pottery, glass, textiles, woodworking, painting, jewellery, sculpture, leather work, soaps and beauty products, mixed-media pieces and locally made goods, while also enjoying chances to speak directly with artists about their process, materials and inspiration. Stop 2 (pottery) and Stop 4 (hot glass) will be offering demonstrations of their work.

Two new stops with new artists join the tour this year: Stop 6 in Almonte, and Stop 11 in Clayton.

The tour’s appeal lies in its combination of countryside travel, studio visits in unique locations, and personal connection. Rather than a single marketplace, Crown & Pumpkin encourages visitors to move from stop to stop, discovering working studios, heritage spaces, rural roads and small-town businesses along the way.

Printable maps and artist details are available through the official Crown & Pumpkin website. Visitors can also pick up a tour folder at many local businesses in the region.
