The Friends of the Mississippi Mills Public Library Christmas Book Sale started in 2024 as an experiment and was such a success we decided to do it again this year. Unlike our Fall Sale, this is not an opportunity to drop off books you want to pass on — it’s a chance to do some Christmas shopping. We feature books of every genre in good to near-new condition, some sold individually, some sold in sets. Everything is individually priced, and many of the books and sets are wrapped and/or tied with a beautiful bow. They are ready to go. Easy peasy!
This sale will be held over one weekend in December at the Rexall Mall, 430 Ottawa St., in Almonte. The location is right beside Rexall Drugs. This year, the dates are Friday, December 5 from 12–5pm; Saturday, December 6 from 10am–4pm; and Sunday, December 7 from 11am–3pm.
We invite you to come, experience a holiday atmosphere with the Friends, purchase some wonderful Christmas gifts, and support our Library. We had already broken our record of annual donations to the library by the end of the summer… then came our Annual Fall Book Sale, and now our Christmas Book Sale. Help us blow it out of the water in 2025 so our Library can continue supporting the community in the style to which we have become accustomed!
