This year’s Madawaska Valley Studio Tour takes place on the weekend of July 18 and 19. Studios from Barry’s Bay to Eganville, and from Quadeville to Killaloe are participating in this free self-directed tour. Visitors have the chance to observe live demonstrations by renowned artists, meet emerging artists, and purchase one-of-a-kind art and fine craft. This is a wonderful chance to see artists and makers in their studios where they transform materials like leather, wood, clay, fabric, glass, wool and metal to meet their artistic vision.
Plan your route ahead or let whimsy be your guide as you hit the road discovering art and the inspiration behind it. Meet the artists and drive the winding roads while taking in the beautiful sights of the Madawaska Valley. It’s easy to see why so many artists and artisans find inspiration here!
Artists open their studio doors from 10-5 on both Saturday and Sunday. Watch for the red maple leaf signs on the way and outside each studio. Pick up a brochure with a map at local businesses and tourist bureaus or visit madawaskastudiotour.com for details.
