Since launching in April of 2026, the Perth Dinner & Concert Series is going strong. Founders Linda Grenier and Carol Anne Deneka are pleased to bring another spectacular line-up of talented singer-songwriters playing their original music to the Perth Pizzeria & Restaurant in August and September.
The Perth Dinner & Concert Series is a partnership between outstanding local artists performing original music, the Perth Pizzeria & Restaurant, and Blue Skies in the Community.
Brock Zeman kicks things off on Saturday, August 8. When it comes to storytelling, Brock is a master craftsman. The Canada-based singer-songwriter has spent the past 12 years carving and chiseling Americana soundscapes, drawing from roots-rock and alternative country. But what separates Zeman from his contemporaries isn’t a willingness to speak truth — it’s his unwillingness to conform to the rules of Nashville and the traditional framework of genre. What gives Zeman’s stories force isn’t that he’s just singing a narrative — he’s living it.
Brock has released twelve albums, and a live DVD/digital audio release called The Pinball Sessions. He is known as a prolific performer, having given more than two hundred live performances across North America every year for the last decade.
The second show in August features Courtney Kane on Saturday the 22nd. Courtney is a 27-year-old Canadian country singer-songwriter from Kingston, Ontario, whose passion for music has shaped her lifelong journey. She rose from local bar gigs to major stages, opening for hometown heroes The Abrams in 2022 and the JUNO- and CCMA-winning James Barker Band at the 2024 Tweed Stampede before a crowd of over 7,000. Along the way she has collaborated with notable Canadian country artists. Her desire to grow led her to Nashville, where she graduated from Dark Horse Institute, sharpening her songwriting and business skills. “If you love country music as much as I do, we’ll get along just fine!”
Nathan Sloniowski comes to town on Saturday, September 12. From the eclectic folk of The Ragged Flowers to John Prine’s canon in The Maywoods, Nathan has made a lifetime of celebrating small town stories in song. His latest project is The Lost Love Letter to a Small Town, devoted to all the beautiful souls who make creative magic happen across rural Canada.
At the age of 16, Nathan walked into a recording studio called Elora Sound as part of a high school punk trio. The mission — to create and perform original music. Forty-five years, many bands, recordings, cafés, barrooms and festival stages later, he’s still at it.
Saturday, September 26 brings Jennifer Noxon to Perth. The Gathering, Jennifer’s new collection of original songs released in early 2026, amplifies our human need to gather in celebration and protest, and to honour and give thanks, while exploring the nooks and crannies of loneliness, love, loss and longing. Jennifer, on guitar, uke and percussion, will be joined by Brendan Gawn on bass.
Jennifer and Brendan love well-told stories, rhythms, and infectious melodies. Their music will be sure to get toes tapping. For those who like to sing, there are sure to be some opportunities to sing along.
