This spring marks the 28th year that artists and fine craftspeople of West Carleton will be opening their studios to visitors as part of the Red Trillium Studio Tour. That is twenty-eight years of talented individuals sharing their passion with the public in a way that differs from what occurs in a gallery or store, because it is centred within the sacred space where creation occurs. It is more personal and intimate — inviting connection and conversation. It offers the chance to hear the story of a work of art from the artist, their inspiration and interpretation of the world, and the process by which a piece comes into being.

Come join us on the weekend of June 6 and 7 to experience for yourself all that the Red Trillium Studio Tour has to offer. Wander along the meandering roads of West Carleton and visit the 28 local and guest artists and fine craftspeople located at 13 different studio stops in the communities of Dunrobin, Kinburn and Woodlawn. This year, in addition to many returning artists, we are pleased to have eight new participants and two new studios on the tour. Most studios feature more than one artist, and many offer a variety of different artistic media in one location.

With illustration, acrylic or oil painting, clothing and fabric art, pottery, woodworking, fabric sculpture, pyrography, torched glass art and jewellery, flameworked and fused glass, stained glass, silver jewellery, whimsical gnomes, quilting, knitting, woodturning, rug-making, photography and so much more, there is something for everyone who has an appreciation for the time, dedication and passion it takes to hone one’s craft and create something beautiful and meaningful to share with others.

An added benefit of this two-day studio tour is there is no need to rush. You can do it in a day or make a weekend of it. Visit the studios in order or target the ones that interest you the most. It is entirely up to you on this self-guided tour. All the studios are ready to welcome you.

More information on the tour and the participating studios and artists, as well as the downloadable brochure and map, can be found at redtrilliumst.com. The website is also where visitors can find local spots to stop for a bite, other places of interest in the area, and accessibility information for each studio.

We are proud of our studio tour and its community of artists and fine craftspeople. We would be so pleased to share it with you. We look forward to seeing you at the Spring 2026 Red Trillium Studio Tour! Come join us.
