If you visited Almonte during the month of October, you might have encountered a melancholic Shakespearean character, been serenaded by a Creepy Choir or members of a Creepy Cabaret… or perhaps you were brave enough to join the Haunted Walk!
What you might not have noticed are the rehearsals that are in full swing at the Almonte Old Town Hall, as the Riversong Players prepare to delight audiences with A Christmas Story: The Musical. The intergenerational ensemble is hard at work!
Step into the holiday magic of A Christmas Story, the beloved tale of Ralphie Parker and his quest for the ultimate Christmas gift — a Red Ryder BB gun. Filled with warmth, laughter and nostalgia, this musical adaptation brings cherished memories to life with catchy songs, heartwarming humour, and a reminder of the joy and chaos of family holidays.
Performances will take place on December 12, 13 and 14 at the Almonte Old Town Hall, and tickets can be purchased through TicketsPlease (TicketsPlease.ca, 485–6434). Delight your family this holiday season! Tickets are $30 for general admission, $25 for kids, plus fees. For more information, please visit their website at riversongplayers.com.
