The Village of Westport is set to sparkle once again as the annual Holiday Shop ’n Hop returns from November 21–23. This year’s event features a gingerbread-themed weekend filled with festive activities, local shopping, and small-town holiday charm.

This community-wide celebration brings together local businesses, artisans and residents to kick off the holiday season. Visitors can enjoy extended shopping hours, live music, outdoor markets, family-friendly fun, and the ever-popular Lion’s Club Santa Claus Parade.

Highlights of the weekend include a gingerbread house competition and viewing at Spy Rock Scoop Shoppe, a gingerbread s’mores campfire at Upper Rideau B&B, an outdoor holiday market at 38 Concession Street, artisans at the Watercolours Studio Tour, an ugliest sweater competition featuring participating local businesses, and a PJ Day and pet photos with Santa on Sunday.

Visitors can also take part in the Passport Shopping Program, collecting stamps from participating businesses for a chance to win one of three grand prizes filled with gifts and gift cards from local merchants.

“Shop ’n Hop is one of Westport’s most anticipated weekends of the year,” says Cynthia Pringle, event organizer and owner of Life is Good Westport. “It’s about celebrating community spirit, supporting local businesses, and sharing in the joy of the season. Every year we see families return, new visitors discover Westport, and our village truly comes alive.”

The Westport Holiday Shop ’n Hop is supported by local merchants and community volunteers. For more information, visit whatsonwestport.ca or follow @WhatsOnWestport or @Westport Holiday Shop and Hop on social media for updates and the full weekend schedule.
