Beginner Oxford Punch Needle; Mini Maud Lewis Masterpiece

Discover the joy of Oxford Punch Needle in this beginner-friendly 3-hour workshop. You’ll use a Fine Oxford Punch Needle to create a charming, ready-to-hang piece inspired by the art of Maud Lewis. The kit (sold separately) includes an 7″x7″ linen-wrapped wood frame, backing fabric with the pattern pre-drawn, and the wool yarn needed to complete the 5″× 5″ design. Punch needles are available to borrow or purchase, a #13 or #14 are recommended (#10Fine will also work).

Robin Whitford

Robin is a passionate rug hooking artist and Advanced Oxford Certified Punch Needle Instructor. Having started her creative journey with yarn at the young age of 6 knitting vests and scarves for her dolls, she has never stopped playing with fibre since. In 2020 she launched her rug hooking business Hooking Outside the Lines and the Creativity Club for Rug Makers, an online membership group. Robin loves to help people connect with their inner artist (even if they don’t think they have one!) as well as celebrate all things rug hooking, creativity and community. Robin teaches from her home studio, just outside Ottawa Ontario, where she lives with her husband and dogs.
