Fall Colours Walk on Blueberry Mtn
Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust
One of the best places in Lanark County to witness a panoramic view of fall colours is from the top of Blueberry Mountain at cliffLAND. This is a special fundraising day to learn more about and help support MMLT’s conservation work. Come and hike the gently rising trail at your own time and pace and enjoy one of the Seven Wonders of Lanark County.  Ecologists will be on site throughout the day to answer any questions you may have. The Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust strives to keep the Mississippi-Madawaska wilderness protected for all time, where all species thrive and people connect with nature. Learn more at mmlt.ca. Nearby: 12-2pm BBQ & market at Joe's Lake Baseball Field.

Vernissage: Fiona Szabo
Fiona began to paint at age 5. Now, at 11 years, Fiona has entered and won art competitions in Canada and the US. Her work is primarily acrylic on canvas and meticulously executed drawings. She draws her inspiration from her family, the natural and manmade world around her, and anything that piques her curiosity.  Fiona’s major project over the past two years has been a graphic novel drawn from her life and imagination. Panels from this work will be on display at MERA. Inquiries about Fiona’s art or commission requests may be made through her mom, Shelagh Chambers.  For information about when you can see this exhibition, please contact Wayne Stryde.
